⚡ Less waiting, more playing

While working on our servers, we gradually ran into one problem that almost every custom CoD2 server player probably knows.

Downloading.

Custom maps, modifications, graphics, and other server files sometimes meant players had to wait several long minutes before they could even get into the game. With larger files, it was often easier for us to prepare a download package on our website and explain where to install everything manually.

That is no longer necessary.

Rusty Brothers servers now use FastDL, allowing all required files to be downloaded much faster when connecting to our servers.

We noticed the difference immediately. What once meant waiting or installing files manually now usually takes just a few seconds.

Thanks to this, we can freely use our own Rusty modifications and custom maps without players having to search for, download, or install anything before joining.

Just find the server.

Click Join.

And play. 🐵

It's not a change you'll see directly during a match.

But it's one of those changes that makes getting into the game much easier.
