🎨 Colored Name In-Game

Want to stand out?
Just use special color codes in your name.

Color codes:

• ^1 – Red
• ^2 – Green
• ^3 – Yellow
• ^4 – Dark Blue
• ^5 – Light Blue (Cyan)
• ^6 – Pink / Purple
• ^7 – White (default)
• ^8 – Changes depending on the map (often dark gray)
• ^9 – Gray / Silver
• ^0 – Black

Example:

🎯 Config Setup (FPS + Sensitivity)

⚙️ Basic Settings for Better Performance (FPS)

If you want smoother gameplay and faster reactions, we recommend tweaking your graphics settings:

• Resolution: feel free to go lower (e.g. 1024x768)
• Turn off:
  • Shadows
  • Anti-Aliasing
  • Depth of Field
• Texture settings: Medium / Low

👉 Goal: stable FPS (ideally 125 FPS)

💻 Important FPS Values in CoD2

The game uses so-called "FPS jumps" that affect movement:

• 43 FPS – basic
• 76 FPS – better
• 125 FPS – ideal (most commonly used) 🔥
• 250 FPS – for advanced players

👉 Recommendation: set your FPS to 125

🧠 How to Set FPS (Command)

Open the console (~) and type:

🎯 Mouse Sensitivity Settings

Sensitivity is very personal, but generally:

• Low sensitivity = better accuracy 🎯
• High sensitivity = faster turns ⚡

👉 Recommendation:

• start around: 2.0 – 3.0
• adjust it gradually to your preference

🛠️ RCON Commands – Overview

First, set your password:

👉 What they do:

• status – shows players on the server
• map mp_burgundy – changes the map
• map_rotate – loads the next map in rotation
• fast_restart – quick round restart

👥 Player Management

👉 Tip:

• You can find a player's ID using /rcon status

💬 Server Communication

👉 Usage:

• say – message to everyone
• tell – message to a specific player

⚠️ Common Issues (Fixes)

Here you'll find the most common problems in Call of Duty 2 and how to fix them quickly.

🚫 0 Packet Flow (Server Kick)

👉 Error:

• "0 packet flow"
• the game kicks you from the server

👉 Possible causes:

• outdated PunkBuster
• connection issues
• firewall blocking the game

👉 Fix:

• update PunkBuster
• restart the game and your PC
• try a different server
• disable firewall / add an exception for CoD2

🔐 PunkBuster Kick (PB INIT FAILURE / NO PACKET FLOW)

👉 Error:

• "PB INIT FAILURE"
• "No Packet Flow"

👉 Fix:

• download and run pbsetup
• add Call of Duty 2
• click Update

👉 Alternative:

• run the game as administrator

⚡ Low FPS / Lag

👉 Problem:

• game stuttering
• low FPS

👉 Fix:

• lower graphics settings
• close background apps

🎯 Bad Aim / "Weird" Mouse Behavior

👉 Problem:

• inaccurate aim
• mouse feels off

👉 Fix:

• disable mouse acceleration in Windows as well

🔌 Can't Connect to Server

👉 Problem:

• "Connection failed"
• "Server not responding"

👉 Fix:

• check IP and port
• restart your router
• try a different server
• verify game files on Steam

🚷 Random Kick (No Reason)

👉 Possible causes:

• admin 😄
• high ping
• PunkBuster

👉 Fix:

• check your ping:

• try a different server
• contact the admin
