CALL OF DUTY 2 • MULTIPLAYER CFG GUIDE

⚙️ Multiplayer Config Tips

The most useful and popular commands for smoother multiplayer, better FPS, cleaner visuals and more stable hit registration in Call of Duty 2.

🌐 Network Settings (Rates)

/rate 25000
/cl_maxpackets 100
/cl_packetdup 1
/snaps 20

These commands help improve server communication, reduce packet loss and provide more stable hit registration.

🚀 FPS & Performance

/com_maxfps 125
/cg_drawfps 1
/cg_drawlagometer 1

125 FPS is one of the most commonly used values for multiplayer. In CoD2 it affects movement smoothness and the overall shooting feel.

👀 Better Visibility

/cg_brass 0
/cg_marks 0
/r_drawdecals 0
/r_drawSun 0
/r_drawWater 0
/r_polygonoffsetbias 16
/r_polygonoffsetscale 4

Disabling unnecessary visual effects can improve FPS and visibility during gameplay. Polygonoffset commands also simplify distant textures and may make enemy silhouettes easier to spot.

🎯 Mouse Settings

/cl_mouseAccel 0

Disables mouse acceleration for more consistent aim and better muscle memory.

🛠️ How to Use These Commands?

  • Enable console in Options → Game Settings → Enable Console → Yes
  • Open the console using the ~ key
  • Type commands with a slash, for example: /cg_drawfps 1
  • For permanent settings, edit the config_mp.cfg file
💡 Tip: Not every “pro config” automatically improves aim. Stable FPS, a good mouse and regular practice matter the most 🙂
