Druhý Rusty server čekala další změna. Tentokrát návrat ke klasice – ale po našem.

GunGame nám nějakou dobu dělal společnost
Jako druhý Rusty Brothers server nám přinesl spoustu práce,
experimentování a zkušeností. Jenže jak už to u nás bývá,
časem přišla další otázka.

A co teď?
Co kdybychom zkusili něco jiného?

Návrat ke klasickému TDM
Tentokrát jsme se vrátili ke klasickému Team Deathmatchi.
Nechtěli jsme ale vytvořit jen další obyčejný TDM server.
Chtěli jsme zachovat
jednoduchost klasického CoD2
a zároveň nabídnout něco, co běžná hra nedovoluje.

Všechny zbraně.
Bez ohledu na národnost.
Vyber si podle sebe
Tým určuje, za koho bojuješ. Ne jakou zbraň musíš používat.

Myšlenka byla jednoduchá.
Realizace už tak jednoduchá nebyla.

Omezení národů
Některé zbraně zpočátku fungovaly jen určitým týmům.

Až po smrti
Potom se správně vybraná zbraň objevila až po dalším spawnu.

Primární výběr už fungoval. Sekundární? Každý dostal Thompson.

Nakonec se to povedlo.

Rychlý a jednoduchý Team Deathmatch,
ve kterém nejsou zbraně svázané s tím,
za jaký národ právě hrajete.

A nezůstalo jen u zbraní
Klasické CoD2 mapy jsme doplnili několika custom mapami,
aby měl server vlastní charakter, ale pořád zůstal věrný CoD2.

A co GunGame?
GunGame tím ale nekončí.
Jen jsme ho na chvíli
uklidili do garáže.
Třeba jednou zase přijde jeho čas.

From GunGame to All Weapons TDM
Our second Rusty server was ready for another change. This time, a return to the classics – our way.

GunGame kept us company for a while
As our second Rusty Brothers server, it brought plenty of work,
experimentation and experience. But as usually happens around here,
another question eventually appeared.

What now?
What if we tried something different?

Back to classic TDM
This time, we returned to classic Team Deathmatch.
But we didn't want to create just another ordinary TDM server.
We wanted to keep the
simplicity of classic CoD2
while offering something the original game normally doesn't allow.

All weapons.
Regardless of nationality.
Choose for yourself
Your team decides who you fight for. Not which weapon you have to use.

The idea was simple.
Making it work wasn't.

Nation restrictions
At first, some weapons still worked only for certain teams.

After death
Then the correctly selected weapon only appeared after the next spawn.

Primary selection worked. Secondary? Everyone got a Thompson.

Eventually, it worked.

And it wasn't only about the weapons
We combined classic CoD2 maps with several custom maps
to give the server its own character while keeping its CoD2 roots.

And what about GunGame?
GunGame isn't gone.
We simply
parked it in the garage
for a while.
Maybe its time will come again one day.
